Ortopad Orthoptic Eye Patches have been successfully helping children with amblyopia (lazy eye) for over 20 years. Ortopad Bamboo patches are latex-free, hypo-allergenic orthoptic eye patches, made of a soft, natural bamboo fabric. Ortopad Eye Patches make patching fun and come in fun patterned patches and are available in three sizes: Junior - for children up to 2 (2 5/8" x 1 31/32"), Medium - for children 2 – 4 (2 63/64" x 2-1/8"), and Regular - for children over 4 (3 11/32" x 2 5/16"). Available in boxes of 50 individually wrapped patches, many patterns can also be purchased separately in bags of 10. Reward posters are also available. Made in Italy.

Ortopad Bamboo patches are made of a soft, natural bamboo material which allows the skin to breathe naturally and minimizes eyelid perspiration. With a growth of up to one meter per day, the bamboo plant is one of the fastest renewable resources. When harvesting the stalks, the entire plant remains, and the widely branched roots create new shoots over and over again. Due to its' rapid growth, bamboo produces many times more biomass than, for example, traditional wood or cotton.

Ortopad patches have a special shape with nasal slits cut into the patch for a better fit close to the nose, allowing the patch to fit well under eye glasses. The opaque black inlay assures maximum shielding from light. Ortopad eye patches contain a hypo-allergenic and latex-free adhesive, which is especially suitable for delicate and sensitive skin, and offers maximum comfort even with prolonged use.

The Ortopad products include Regular size (3 11/32" x 2 5/16") animal pattern patches, such as Polar Bear (10 patches), Dog (10 patches), and Bunny/Squirrel (10 patches). These patches feature a special light protection inlay that assures maximum shielding from light, making them an ideal choice for children with amblyopia.
